Chicago Apartment Finders Review

I've used Apartment finders twice; the first time was with the Belmont office, though this time I used the Bryn Mawr one. I had a pretty similarly good experience with both offices, but neglected to write the review after the last one. And since I can remember my 2nd agent's name (Andre), I am reviewing this office.

They were great for us. My husband I don't have a car, and we had a pretty wild wish list, but Andre was great, and politely did his best to get us a place we really liked. The thing that seems to set Apartment Finders agents apart for me, is that they are human beings first and salespeople second. Both my first agent and Andre were kind, courteous, thoughtful, and acted like they genuinely wanted us to find a new home we were happy with.

As far as I'm concerned, Andre went above and beyond for us. He took some phone calls and emails on days I know where his day off, which he totally did not need to do, but which pretty much insured we got approved for the apartment in just the nick of time.

I have a wacky work schedule, so I only had a few hours in the mornings to look at apartments.

Not only did andre tolerate my rather annoying schedule, he was kind enough to drop me off at the train station while he and my husband kept hunting.

He also, unlike several other apartment services, never made any of those lame "cute" "married couple jokes" at my husband's expense. You know the "are you sure she'll let you make a decision? /WINK" kind. Yes. He's a big boy and I try not to be a bitch to him. We get that a lot, and Andre never once tried any of that crap, which was such a simple blessing.

After a bit of search that yielded "meh" results, he and my husband talked and Andre pulled out some new units that weren't on me and my husband's"list", and this was where we hit the jackpot. I absolutely love the new place, Husband felt like Andre really let him in on a hidden gem here, and Andre also made it stupid easy for me to get all of the rather prodigious paperwork in, even with my insane schedule.

I don't get all the low stars, honestly. Ask for Andre, I guess, cause he was phenomenal. The whole experience was an absolute snap, and I will use CAF for as long as I'm in chicago.

Landmark Real Estate Review

My roommate and I had been searching for apartments in Greenwich Village and the West Village for about 4 days and to be honest we had come to the realization that we probably wouldn't be able to find anything in our price range in those neighborhoods. We were basically going from shoe box to shoe box with a lot of horrible brokers in the mix..

Then we came across Neely at Landmark Realty. Right off the bat, she showed us 3 wonderful apartments and we kind of formed a girl crush in the mean time. She was super honest and not at all pushy which is really refreshing when it comes to brokers/apartment hunting. We have been in our apartment for a year now and it's been the best living experience I have had in NYC. So as you can tell, I would highly recommend Neely as well as Landmark!

Liam's rentals Review

Found one of Liam's rentals through craigslist, he was very accommodating to my schedule as I was coming from out of town to view apartments. He ended up showing me about 5 different apartments until I found the one, at no time did I feel rushed as many NYC brokers tend to make you feel, he even met with me 2 more times to view the apartment. He continued to work with me and keep me up to date on renovations being done on my apartment and even helped us to get moved in earlier than planned. Liam is by far the best broker I have dealt with, I would recommend him to anyone!

LaMatto Properties Review

LaMatto Properties saved us! My boyfriend and I spent a few weeks trying to find a place to live in the area using craigslist- looking for no broker's fee apartments. Of course we didn't find anything that was right for us, and by the time we turned to LaMatto we were afraid all the apartments for the beginning of the month were going to be taken, since it was just a week away!

Misha walked with us to several different apartments, and helped us figure out what we were really looking for. He showed us a few really great options within our price range, and was totally willing to go back with us over and over again when we were indecisive. He was also really great about us calling/texting him last minute and asking if we could meet up and 'look at that one apartment just one more time'! In the end they helped us find a place in a great location, near the subway, for a price that we were really excited about.

Sutter House Review

My husband and I have lived at Sutter House almost one year. It is our first place together, and we've loved how clean and safe it is. Nothing goes by unnoticed by the apartment manager, which is a truly wonderful thing. Laundry in the building is a nice luxury. The elevator is great, especially when we first moved in, as it is not your typical San Francisco 100-year-old-building kind of elevator, but a  nice large-sized modern elevator that could fit our bookshelves, bed, etc. Once again, the upkeep by the apartment manager is great, and response time to any problems has been immediate! The neighborhood is also nice, as it is right at the corner edge of both Nob Hill and Russian Hill. Just a block or two walk and you are surrounded by many cute shops and cafes.  We are quite close to the Academy of Art as well. Prices are good for the area (being so centrally located) and it was the biggest kitchen we could find in a studio in this area! We can actually fit a small dining table and three chairs in our kitchen. When we were apartment hunting last  year we couldn't believe how many studios in the Nob Hill area had ridiculously small kitchens or efficiency kitchens. Sutter House Apartments are nice, clean, and have been a great first home for us!

Argenta Apartments Review

We lived in a shoebox over at Fox Plaza (across the street) for 9 months upon moving to San Francisco and anxiously awaited the opening of Argenta. I saw the sign go up on the door and called that very day. We had our pick of apartments and moved in a month later. I've been in real estate and property management for most of my career, and I can say that I've never encountered more professional and accommodating staff, or a more beautiful building and apartment. The units are beautifully appointed, with awesome kitchens and views, the on-site gym can't be beat...nor can the location Right on Market steps from Muni and a few blocks from Bart!  Yes, it's expensive. But, you get what you pay for. We've now moved back to Phoenix, and we'd love to be able to just pick up the building and move it back with us!  We're going to miss Argenta.
