Archstone Fox Plaza Review

I can't say enough about the OUTSTANDING experience I have had living in this complex.  Seven months ago...

1.  The leasing staff/office is helpful, polite, knowledgeable, and courteous.  Every promise was delivered.

2.  Every service call was answered within 24 hours, and if not fixed to my satisfaction, they would return to make any necessary changes I required.

3. Centrally located to the ENTIRE City:  ONE mode of transportation to a) the airport, b) the ferry, c) BART, d) MUNI.

Those are the basics.  I could go on for days.  I will update this as soon as I move, but, so far, EXCELLENT.  Best tenancy I have had in the City to date.

Keep up the good work Archstone!

Berendt Properties Review

After making the decision to move and rent out our condo, we were naturally apprehensive about becoming landlords. As a result, we spent a lot of time researching listing agents before committing to one. We came across Berendt Properties on Yelp, and scoured Craigslist and his website to see his current listings. We were very impressed with the quality of the listings; the pictures and layout were very professional and high quality, and made the properties show really well. So we gave Craig a call, and ultimately selected his company from a good half dozen that we interviewed.

We made the right choice. Craig is incredibly professional, and really worked hard on our behalf to get our property on the market and rented quickly. He did a great job walking us through the process, and was very responsive to both us and and the potential tenants. He really made the process easy. I now view him as a valued partner in managing our condo, and would absolutely recommend him to others.

Hawthorne House Review

My rock, my anchor, my home.

Hawthorne house is a wonderful place to live. It has become a true oasis for me. I moved here under duress-I was such a mess that by mistake I indicated that I was a 'felon' on the rental application. I'm not. Merely, I had to move suddenly and not by choice. I cried so much as I viewed the apartment and filled out the form that they must have thought I was nuts. Lucky for me they let me in.

Sounds odd to say but this place has truly helped me heal from what I was going through. The entire staff that work here are so helpful and kind and truly take pride in keeping this place clean, working efficiently. Its a really pleasant place to live. They take pride in everything, and therefore I take pride in my small but beautiful home.

Some things I love about Hawthorne House:
Everything works and if it doesn't, they fix it promptly and accurately.
Once a week when you come home the whole building smells lemony-fresh.
The pool. It looks awesome and I can't wait to use it this summer. It's on the 40th floor-you can imagine the views. BBQ's too.
At Christmas they have those straw-like reindeer that look like they are feeding on the grounds. Sounds cheesy but its not-I love it.
They always have new plants and flowers on the grounds.
The light and view of the lake from my place is beautiful. The energy vibrant.
The location-especially if you work downtown, cannot be beat. The 145 or 146 Express bus picks me up right outside and has me down at work in like 12 minutes-I am spoiled by this!
Packages delivered to your door even if you are not home.
If you like running by the lake you are right there.
Huge closets-plenty of storage (unless you are a hoarder I guess)
Great staff all around. My guy Arturo is there if I need help hanging a painting or whatever. They are all helpful and kind and thorough.
The laundry room has US magazine and tons of cheesy novels for your perusal.
People who live here are so nice.

p.s. As far as decorating style, to me this is an ideal place for someone who likes a pretty modern, minimalistic style. I used to be kind of cluttery but I'm not at all anymore since living here. While my place is not huge, it feels great for me living here on my own. I am proud to have people over here.

Ardmore Winthrop Properties Review

BEST. APARTMENT MANAGEMENT. EVER !!!!

Its officially six months since I have moved into a Ardmore Winthrop apartment. I found them via Yelp and its great review. Once I viewed a unit, I was sold, mostly because I could tell that the area was safe and the building is well kept.

Six months later, I can tell you it's the best decision I was ever led to make. The management runs the apartment I live in with true honestly, transparently and commitment to community. Management is always communication with residents on what they are going to do (with timely notice), and they want to do, and when via signage around the building or emails. I feel comfortable calling them about anything and everything, because I have witness timely responses. I remember when I viewed the place with Andy and asked him about bedbugs, he was so honest in his response about the research I had done, the fact it did occur once (at most 1 year ago) and  how they as management were dealing with it. I was so impressed that he did not try to hide this issue that many apartments were dealing with. By the way, I have never seen a bedbug or any other insect especially fruit flies, which were my fault. They spray monthly like clockwork.

Management appear to know who I am every time I interact with them. In addition, my hubby who lives in Indy is around about twice a month and they also make him feel like a valued resident. I have received a birthday and Christmas card, both with stamps even thought they could have placed this in my mailbox or under my door. They are also willing and open to receive feedback about the unit. Questions posed to them are always answered. Staff is friendly and most of them live in buildings owned by Ardmore Winthrop. My favorite person on staff is Mike, who is an angel. He had helped me bring in my bed when I trying to do so by myself. He has jumped my car when I was all alone getting ready to go to work. And when something needs to be fixed in my unit, I can count on him to have produce a solution that is quality, lasting, and timely. Rosa  and Mike also keeps the place very clean. Never have I seen any inside community spaces unkempt, nor is the outside not maintained. When I see both Mike, Rosa, or other maintenance persons, they are working for the building...not talking or smoking the day away, but working. I thank them so much for that.

Everyone that comes visits me loves my space for the money. All utilities are included in my unit, which is a plus. Rent is reasonable, if not under the average for the space, locations, and A+ service from management.

I have lived in many apartments for rent before and this is the best management yet! I really enjoy living in Ardmore Winthrop properties and would have it no other way in Chicago.

Chicago Apartment Finders Review

I've used Apartment finders twice; the first time was with the Belmont office, though this time I used the Bryn Mawr one. I had a pretty similarly good experience with both offices, but neglected to write the review after the last one. And since I can remember my 2nd agent's name (Andre), I am reviewing this office.

They were great for us. My husband I don't have a car, and we had a pretty wild wish list, but Andre was great, and politely did his best to get us a place we really liked. The thing that seems to set Apartment Finders agents apart for me, is that they are human beings first and salespeople second. Both my first agent and Andre were kind, courteous, thoughtful, and acted like they genuinely wanted us to find a new home we were happy with.

As far as I'm concerned, Andre went above and beyond for us. He took some phone calls and emails on days I know where his day off, which he totally did not need to do, but which pretty much insured we got approved for the apartment in just the nick of time.

I have a wacky work schedule, so I only had a few hours in the mornings to look at apartments.

Not only did andre tolerate my rather annoying schedule, he was kind enough to drop me off at the train station while he and my husband kept hunting.

He also, unlike several other apartment services, never made any of those lame "cute" "married couple jokes" at my husband's expense. You know the "are you sure she'll let you make a decision? /WINK" kind. Yes. He's a big boy and I try not to be a bitch to him. We get that a lot, and Andre never once tried any of that crap, which was such a simple blessing.

After a bit of search that yielded "meh" results, he and my husband talked and Andre pulled out some new units that weren't on me and my husband's"list", and this was where we hit the jackpot. I absolutely love the new place, Husband felt like Andre really let him in on a hidden gem here, and Andre also made it stupid easy for me to get all of the rather prodigious paperwork in, even with my insane schedule.

I don't get all the low stars, honestly. Ask for Andre, I guess, cause he was phenomenal. The whole experience was an absolute snap, and I will use CAF for as long as I'm in chicago.

Landmark Real Estate Review

My roommate and I had been searching for apartments in Greenwich Village and the West Village for about 4 days and to be honest we had come to the realization that we probably wouldn't be able to find anything in our price range in those neighborhoods. We were basically going from shoe box to shoe box with a lot of horrible brokers in the mix..

Then we came across Neely at Landmark Realty. Right off the bat, she showed us 3 wonderful apartments and we kind of formed a girl crush in the mean time. She was super honest and not at all pushy which is really refreshing when it comes to brokers/apartment hunting. We have been in our apartment for a year now and it's been the best living experience I have had in NYC. So as you can tell, I would highly recommend Neely as well as Landmark!

Liam's rentals Review

Found one of Liam's rentals through craigslist, he was very accommodating to my schedule as I was coming from out of town to view apartments. He ended up showing me about 5 different apartments until I found the one, at no time did I feel rushed as many NYC brokers tend to make you feel, he even met with me 2 more times to view the apartment. He continued to work with me and keep me up to date on renovations being done on my apartment and even helped us to get moved in earlier than planned. Liam is by far the best broker I have dealt with, I would recommend him to anyone!
